Terms of Use
Back of Node · Version 1.0 · Last updated: 18 August 2026
1. Who we are
Back of Node (“the Service”) is operated by Anne Sophie T. M. Guenster (“we”, “us”). Contact: hello@backofnode.com.
2. The Service
Back of Node is a dashboard for musicians and their teams: tours, shows, riders, setlists, contacts, finances, files, and read-only analytics from connected platforms. Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy.
3. Beta status
The Service is currently in a closed test phase. It is provided as is and as available. Features may change, break, or be removed. We take backups, but we cannot rule out data loss, so please keep copies of anything you cannot afford to lose. We make no commitment to uptime or availability during this phase.
4. Your account
Keep your login credentials to yourself and pick a password you don't use elsewhere. Accounts are personal; don't share them. Tell us promptly at hello@backofnode.com if you suspect someone else has accessed your account.
5. Your content
Everything you put into the Service stays yours. You grant us only the rights needed to run the Service for you (storing, backing up, and displaying your content to you and the people you share your workspace with). You are responsible for the content you upload, in particular, make sure you are allowed to store the personal data of other people (contacts, guest lists, survey responses) that you bring into your workspace.
6. Acceptable use
Don't use the Service to break the law, don't try to breach or probe its security, don't access other people's workspaces, and don't resell or white-label the Service without our written agreement.
7. AI features and API keys
AI features run on API keys you provide (e.g. Anthropic or OpenAI). Your provider bills you directly for that usage, and the provider's own terms apply to it. Your keys are used only to perform the actions you trigger. AI output can be wrong, so review it before you rely on it or publish it.
8. Connected platforms
Platform connections (Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, TikTok, Bandsintown) are read-only: the Service does not post, message, or comment on your behalf. Connecting a platform is always your decision. No connection is active by default, and the Service reads only from accounts you have chosen to link. Those platforms' terms apply to your accounts there, and we cannot guarantee that a platform keeps its interface available to us.
9. Security incidents
If we become aware of a security incident affecting your personal data or your content, we will inform you without undue delay at the email address on your account, and tell you what happened, what is affected, and what we are doing about it.
10. Fees
The Service is currently free of charge for invited test users. If we introduce paid plans, we will announce them in advance; nothing becomes payable retroactively.
11. Liability
We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence, and for injury to life, body, or health. For slight negligence we are liable only for breaches of essential contractual obligations (obligations whose fulfilment makes the proper performance of the contract possible in the first place and on whose fulfilment you may regularly rely), and in that case limited to the foreseeable damage typical for this kind of contract. Any further liability is excluded. Mandatory statutory liability (e.g. under product liability law) remains unaffected.
12. Term and termination
You can stop using the Service and ask us to delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close accounts that violate these terms, and we may end the test phase; in that case we will give you reasonable notice and the opportunity to export your content before deletion.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. For material changes we will notify you by email before they take effect. If you do not agree, you can close your account; if you keep using the Service after the effective date, the new terms apply.
14. Governing law
German law applies. If you use the Service as a consumer, the mandatory consumer protection rules of your country of residence remain unaffected.
